What is the Assignment activity?
Assignments allow students to submit work to their teacher for grading. The work may be text typed online or uploaded files of any type the teacher’s device can read. Grading may be by simple percentages or custom scales, or more complex rubrics may be used. Students may submit as individuals or in groups
What is the Book resource?
Books allow teachers to create multi-page resources with a book-like format and table of contents. Multimedia may be embedded and books may be printed entirely or by chapter.
What is the Chat activity?
The Chat activity allows course participants to have a real-time synchronous discussion in a Moodle course. Different themes may be used (although note that you lose the conversation thread if you change mid-chat) and an accessible interface is available.
What is the Choice activity?
The Choice activity allows you to ask a question and set up radio buttons which learners can click to make a selection from a number of possible responses. They can choose one or more option and they can update their selection if you allow them. Choices can be useful as quick poll to stimulate thinking about a topic; to allow the class to vote on a direction for the course, or to gauge progress.
Custom certificate module
The custom certificate module allows the generation of dynamic PDF certificates with complete customization via the web browser. It is different from the certificate module, which requires PHP and FTP access in order to customize its appearance.

The Forum activity allows students and teachers to exchange ideas by posting comments as part of a 'thread'. Files such as images and media maybe included in forum posts. The teacher can choose to grade and/or rate forum posts and it is also possible to give students permission to rate each other's posts.

The Glossary activity allows participants to create and maintain a list of definitions, like a dictionary. While it can be set up and used only by the teacher, its main function is as a collaborative exercise. The H5P activity enables H5P content created in the Content bank, or on the h5p.com site, or the LUMI app for desktop, to be easily added to a course as an activity.,
Make sure you download the newly created H5P file on the h5p.com site that you will later upload to your Moodle course to be easily added to a course as an activity.
If you are linking to H5P content on another site, such as h5p.com site, then you need to enter it as an allowed source (Administration -> Plugins -> Filters -> Display H5p -> Allowed sources). Nothing needs to be entered if you are adding H5P content to your course from the content bank or by uploading an H5P package.

The Text editor allows the page to display many different kinds of content such as plain text, images, audio, video, embedded code or a combination of all these. (Formerly known as a Label) a Text and media area serves as a spacer on a Moodle course page. It can be used to add text, images, multimedia or code in between other resources in the different sections. It is a very versatile resource and can help to improve the appearance of a course if used thoughtfully. Banners or descriptions may be added here to distinguish between and highlight different areas. (Note that excessive use of multimedia (sound,video) in Text and media areas can slow down the loading of a course page.)
